FROM THEIR WEBSITE: Welcome to St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church. Our mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and assist the faithful as well as those who are seeking, in developing and nurturing their relationship with Jesus Christ. We are the first Western Rite Orthodox parish in Houston being formed this past spring under the jurisdiction of the Rt. Rev. Basil, Bishop of the Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America. Our heritage is the Orthodox faith as it was practiced in England and the Continent before the Great Schism of 1056. Hence our liturgy, while Orthodox, is based upon the English rite.
